Interviewer: What are the benefits of pantothenic acid?

Dr. Stern: Pantothenic acid is also called B5. It is really for me, something that helps reduce anxiety, reduces stress. It's a very nourishing B vitamin for the adrenal glands.

The adrenal glands need certain vitamins to function at their best. Pantothenic acid is one of those B vitamins.

Now you also will see a nutrient in my relax formula other than pantothenic acid called PABA. Now if you Google PABA - it helps the skin, it's what's called the beauty hormone.

Skin, hair, and nails, which is great. I love having multiple benefits from my nutrients that I put in my formulas. But, I put it in there because pantothenic acid needs PABA to function at the level it needs to function at, to support the adrenal glands.

Works like a key in the lock. So when you're taking pantothenic acid to truly get the benefits, you also need PABA.

Someone who really knows nutrition might treat PABA like, oh you put PABA in there to help my skin or to help my hair. No, although it's great that it might be doing that, I put PABA in there to support the pantothenic acid to ultimately support the adrenal gland and make sure that someone's adrenal glands are functioning at their optimal level.
